Love & Basketball (2000) | The Pod Bay Doors Movie Podcast, Episode #230

| February 7, 2022

For our first entry in Black History Month (but could double for Woman’s History Month, if you like) is Gina Prince-Bythewood’s writer/directorial debut Love & Basketball (2000). It tells the story of Monica and Quincy, two kids who love basketball and each other and their road to happiness in both. It’s an excellently written, directed and acted drama that never plays out the way you think it will, but always the way it should.
